I first saw the work of Edmund de Waal while visiting the Turner Contemporary Gallery. I was fascinated and have since been a huge fan.
A beautiful film about an artist that creates beautiful work
His breath of work across sculpture, drawing and writing firmly puts him in the 'artist' category for me and this film by House & Garden provides an insight into the person and the work that he creates. He talks about the 'the calm monastic' quality of his studio space and that is the overwhelming feeling that for me his work evokes.
